Geographe Bay Race Week 2021 has been cancelled

by GBYC Race Week 2 Feb 2021 06:14 PST 5-11 February 2022

The GBRW Committee had an emergency meeting and were in unanimous agreement that conducting the regatta in 2021 is not viable.

Alternative dates during 2021 were considered but deemed to be not practical, due to various factors.

COVID-19 restrictions currently in place and the potential for ongoing restrictions, make event planning in the current environment "beyond challenging".

GBRW 2022 will be held Sat 5th to Fri 11th February 2022.

GBRW 2021 Entry Fees

Competitors have the options of:

    A) Refund: receive a full refund of the $310 Entry Fee. Please provide bank details for refund.
    B) Credit: carry-over the $310 entry fee as a CREDIT towards GBRW 2022 entry fee.
    C) Donation: Make a donation to the GBYC, to help offset the financial expenses the Club has incurred organising GBRW 2021
The GBRW 2021 Management Committee, along with many Club volunteers, have spent countless hours planning for this year's regatta and are extremely disappointed that the event will not be proceeding.

On behalf of the GBRW Committee and the Geographe Bay Yacht Club, please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation.

We look forward to welcoming you all back in February 2022.

Barry Brown
Director
on behalf of GBRW 2021 Management Committee
