The two regattas of the Real Club Náutico de Palma will now span the period May 1 to 9 2021. The Organizing Committee also announces an Offshore race for big boats, IRC, ORC and shorthanded division (doublehanded).

The new offshore race of the PalmaVela will follow a course of between 150 and 250 nm that will take place in the waters of the Balearic Islands. The starting signal will be on Sunday, May 2.

Then on the Wednesday, May 5, the usual program of the inshore races that make up the popular seasonal curtain raiser, the PalmaVela regatta will begin.

"Last September we were forced to postpone the 17th edition of the PalmaVela definitively to 2021. At that moment we said that we already had ideas and plans in mind for next year that we would organize and celebrate, if possible, with more enthusiasm than ever. Since then, we have kept working to make it happen, trying to improve the PalmaVela in every possible way. The inclusion of the offshore race, in our opinion, makes this regatta even more attractive for both the competitors and the public," Emerico Fuster, president of the RCNP, explains.

Notice of Race available from next January, the 15th

The NOR of the 17th edition will be made public on Friday, the 15th of January on the official website of the event palmavela.com.

The Organizing Committee of the 17th PalmaVela wishes you a Merry Christmas and good winds for 2021!
