The Class40 has learned about the postponement of the Globe 40 to a new date in June 2022. This round-the-world race was included in the class' program in 2021, but now has to be withdrawn.

The major event for ocean racing and the Class40 in 2022 is the Route du Rhum, which makes the Globe 40 postponement incompatible with the class program.

The Class40 reiterates its support for the round the world scheduled for 2023 and carried by The Race Around.

The Board of Directors is delighted with the many boats under construction and sponsors who are re-engaging alongside its members.

The Class40 hopes that the year 2021 will allow its sailors to reconnect with the open sea.
