Harken New Zealand is proud to announce the grand opening of their new Fosters Chandlery: Saturday 19th December 2020. This is the first store to open in the brand-new and highly anticipated Westhaven Marine Village.

As a stalwart of marine supplies in NZ since 1907, the Fosters grand opening celebration is aptly timed to showcase the sport’s innovation, as the summer of yachting commences on the Hauraki Gulf.

The public are invited to join yachting commentators and America’s Cup experts at the store with the accomplished Harken New Zealand team from 2:30pm for the official opening followed by an insightful Q&A session before watching the live yachting on the big-screens from 3pm. A complimentary drink and finger food will be served as we cheer on Emirates Team New Zealand, racing to defend their title.

The new store will be open with coffees available on site from 9am, and for those who are keen to test their yachting strength, the Harken grinding challenge will run all day.

Harken is proud to feature the best and latest in boating hardware, yachting accessories and marine technical apparel for a special four day event around the Grand Opening. As an official supplier of Emirates Team New Zealand, on every race day from 17 – 20 December, from 3pm, the public are invited to the new Fosters Chandlery to watch the racing live on their TVs in the company of past America’s Cup sailors, and many of NZ’s currently top-ranked sailors.

During this time, become a Friend of Fosters to access exclusive savings on NZ’s top boating brands usually reserved only for the boat show. In store only, from 17 – 20 December 2020.

The new Fosters Chandlery is located at 129 Westhaven Drive at Westhaven Marina in central Auckland. For more information visit fostersshipchandlery.co.nz
