Seldén official supplier for Farr X2

We are happy to announce that Seldén Mast has become the official mast supplier for the new Farr X2. The mast will feature T800 carbon pre-preg fibre wounded on a mandrel for an optimized mix of low weight, stiffness and strength.

This is achieved by Seldén's Mandrel Filament Winding technique combining off axis winding together with unidirectional fibres.

Seldén's project manager Andreas Axelsson, ex-Artemis crew member and with a 10 year carrier in professional sailing under his belt explains:

"We provide the Farr X2 with a mast totally customized for the boat, and we will do it over and over again. Our CNC based winding of the carbon filament ensures 100% repeatability and all masts will be identical. The way to go in One-Design racing."

The first two masts are already in production and we look forward to the testing in 2021. Seldén also provide the carbon boom and a carbon rigid vang as well as standing rig.
