Spinlock’s latest inflatable lifejacket harness technology, designed specifically for the teams competing in the arduous Volvo Ocean Race, is available to all sailors, boaties and fishers in the company’s new Deckvest VITO range.

Specially developed to be a lifejacket that the crews actually wanted to wear more frequently, the new design incorporates a number of custom features including the highly-rated Spinlock HRS (Harness Release System). Now available on their Deckvest VITO range, HRS features a discreet but easy to locate two-stage release handle which, with a short pull, opens the soft loop harness connection. As well as being incredibly simple to use, Spinlock’s new HRS system is a surprisingly detailed piece of design engineering, combining rotating metal parts in a moulded locking system that seamlessly interacts with its fibre loop system.

The Spinlock Deckvest VITO range offers 170N buoyancy with a Hammar hydrostatic automatic inflator, added protection in high impact areas and a striking design finish in durable rip stop fabric. The inflatable lifejackets are also fitted with a structured sprayhood, a Pylon 360 lifejacket light, Lume-On bladder illumination lights and a 40mm Leg strap with stowage.

The Deckvest VITO’s design has also been structured to enable easy donning with simple-to-adjust buckles and both coarse- and fine- tune adjustment to ensure the correct fit for every body size.

The Spinlock Deckvest VITO range is now available nationwide through New Zealand distributor Lusty and Blundell’s three showrooms in Auckland, Whangarei and Tauranga and their nationwide network of leading marine dealers.
