The Melges IC37 Class reconvenes on the racecourse in Newport, RI for its National Championship October 2-4. The Championship will be hosted by the New York Yacht Club in conjunction with its 166th Annual Regatta, North America's oldest sailing competition.

The Class made an electrifying season debut during Race Week at Newport presented by Rolex featuring several lead changes and tight racing over four days. Ultimately, Chris Culver's Blazer II claimed top honors after a rousing comeback on Day Three finishing 10.3 points ahead of Winter Series Champion, Pacific Yankee, owned by Bill Ruh and Drew Freides.

The Nationals lineup closely mirrors Race Week, so much of the same one-design excitement is expected. The Class also features strict coed class rules and boasts opportunities for youth racers designed to enrich the sailing experience.

Entry list available here.
