The RYA is calling on its more than 100,000 strong membership to help spread the word about the many benefits of being a member to their friends and family and as a thank you they will be offering not one, but two special gifts for every new member that signs up.

"In these unprecedented times it is more important than ever to maintain a strong membership and the continued support of our members is vital. With your help we can be stronger than ever.

"The more members we have the stronger our voice to act on our Members' behalf to protect their freedom to use the water responsibly, with the minimum of restrictions. We work extremely hard to make a difference to Members' boating, but imagine what we could do with even more members!", commented RYA Membership Engagement Officer, Gemma Garrett.

"Our members are the very best advocates for membership and undoubtedly the most qualified to tell others about the great benefits membership offers", Gemma continued. "Nothing is more powerful than an existing member extolling the virtues of membership and the benefits it affords them in their boating lives to potential new members."

Throughout October, with the Refer a Friend programme, for every member that refers a friend or family member who decides to join, we will give the referring member an RYA branded Overboard dry bag and flask to say thank you for helping us spread the word about membership.

Not only do the referring members enjoy their free gifts but new members also enjoy a 25% discount off their first year's subscription, so it's a win, win for everyone.

Every member that joins the RYA not only adds their voice to over 100,000 existing members in support of the work the RYA does ensuring that legislators, regulators and other authorities understand and take account of recreational boating activity. They also enjoy access to free boating-related specialist legal, regulatory and technical advice and support from our experts. Plus, specially negotiated offers and discounts from over 80 member reward partners to help cut the cost of their boating; all the latest news and information, as well as belonging to a community of likeminded individuals with the same passion, making a difference to the boating they do.
