Horizon Yacht USA is pleased to announce plans for a private, invitation-only yacht showcase at its Hall of Fame Marina location in Fort Lauderdale.

Scheduled for Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th, 2020, the two-day open house will offer four Horizon yachts for private viewing by appointment: the brand new FD102, To-Kalon, the FD87 Skyline, the FD80 Skyline and the E56 OMA.

Delivered to her experienced American owners this summer, the FD102 To-Kalon represents the superyacht model of the Cor D. Rover-designed FD Series. Boasting a five-stateroom layout with an on-deck master, a semi-enclosed sun deck with Jacuzzi and crew quarters for six, this 101' 9" yacht is a dramatic example of the allowance for owner customization as well as the volume and space that highlight the FD Series design.

The FD87 is the most popular model of the rapidly growing FD Series and this spec build for the American market is immediately available for delivery. Offering a five-stateroom layout with an ondeck master, the FD87 Skyline features an enclosed bridge and numerous innovative and multifunctional features within. A foredeck entertaining and lounging area complements the plentiful outdoor deck spaces, from the aft boat deck aft to the large aft main deck. A spectacular beach club with a Hi/Lo swim platform completes the amenities offered by this well-planned yacht.

For those seeking something slightly smaller with the same volume, large windows and HighPerformance Piercing Bow and hull design of the other FD models, the FD80 Skyline fits the bill.

Also specified for the American market, this yacht offers four staterooms including an on-deck master as well as crew quarters and a beach club aft. Powered by twin MAN V8 engines of 1,200hp each, the FD80 is designed to be either managed by an experienced owner/operator or captained and serviced by an experienced crew.

Also on display will be the Horizon E56, OMA. Ideal for the entry-level yachtsman, this customized 2020 model yacht was built in 2019 but is now available for sale as her owner has his sights set on his next, larger Horizon yacht. The E56 combines performance and interior amenities for sporty luxury on the water. She accommodates five guests in three staterooms and is in excellent condition, having only seen minimal usage since her delivery.

Despite the recent announcement that Broward County has approved plans for Informa and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) to proceed with the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Horizon Yachts has made the decision to not exhibit at this year's show. The joint decision was made by the Horizon Yacht USA team and the corporate headquarters in Taiwan, after considering factors such as travel requirements, clients, staff and the overall risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

"The health and safety of our staff, our clients and our guests is of paramount importance and we have given great consideration as to whether we would participate in this year's show," says Horizon Yacht USA director Roger Sowerbutts. "While we appreciate the tremendous efforts that Informa and MIASF have undertaken to ensure that proper protocols are in place during the show, the feedback from our owners and potential guests was clear and we've prioritized that feedback in our decision. Our invitation-only showcase gives us and our clients a chance to safely display and view several of the brand new yachts we now have available."

At the outset of the global pandemic outbreak, Horizon Yachts established a Define at a Distance Experience, which includes virtual tours, video conferences, and by-appointment personal, socially distanced tours of available yachts. This program has been well received by current and potential clients and will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

The invitation-only showcase will be offering viewing appointment slots between 10am - 6pm October 9th and October 10th, with the last appointment slot at 5pm. Horizon will be implementing a strict set of safety guidelines that include the requirement for face coverings, social distancing, digitalonly exchange of information, and thorough sanitizing of the yachts between showings.
