The difference between ‘postponed’ and ‘cancelled’ is a moot point. The 2020 Singapore Yacht Show was originally slated for 19-22 March this year, but succumbed to Covid-19 and moved itself off to 15-18 October. Now it has been caught by a second wave and punted into April 2021.

Anyway. we have received the following from the organisers of the Singapore Yacht Show:

“In light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the SYS has unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to postpone the 10th edition of the Singapore Yacht Show to 22-25 April 2021.

It is now not certain that trade exhibitions will be allowed to take place in Singapore in October after all, and in view of the scale of the event and the logistical preparations necessary for building the show infrastructure and organising the yachts in the marina, the show organiser owes it to all the exhibitors to make an early and responsible decision.

SYS would like to thank all of our exhibitors, sponsors, venue owners, suppliers and other business partners who have always been and continue to be incredibly supportive. We will pull together and plan for a bigger, better, and safer Singapore Yacht Show in April 2021.”

Visitors who have purchased tickets for 2020 are assured that they are still valid for the new 2021 dates, tbc.
