Tatiana, Bilgin's largest-ever-yacht, now ready for the camera

by Bilgen Yachts 16 Aug 2020 21:49 PDT

Bilgin Yachts' largest yacht ever, 80m M/Y Tatiana, Tatiana is posing for the camera on 14 August, 2020. A successful series of sea trials marked the upcoming sails of the spectacular yacht that achieves 19 knots while featuring extensive living areas and seaworthiness.

Built at Bilgin Yachts' main facilities in Istanbul and launched in February 2020, the first hull of Bilgin 263 series, Tatiana -with model name NB75- is now getting ready for the photo-shoots scheduled in August 2020. The yacht's living areas are being completed with furniture while more customization 's added to her appearance. Being the largest yacht ever built by a Turkish shipyard so far, Tatiana has more than met performance expectations during the cruising in Istanbul. With the first trials made for her twin MTU engines, the yacht achieved the speed of 19+ knots.

The sharp exterior lines and stylish interior areas of Bilgin 263 series offer a strong modern feeling. The extensive use of a contrasting combination of rich Makassar ebony, eucalyptus and plenty of marble creates a strong identity and a luxurious ambience in the superyacht. Emrecan Özgün, CEO and the Founder of Unique Yacht Design, describes the brand-new 263 series as follows: "With her design and comfort elements, the Bilgin 263 is truly one-of-a-kind. We created a very attractive yacht with a sleek and sexy profile while avoiding a high dosage of design clichés. The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs. The Bilgin 263 has a design attitude that will dominate the yachting sector around the world. This will clearly make her a trendsetter among steel-aluminum superyachts of today."

Tatiana has the signature of H2 Design Ltd in her glamorous living areas. Jonny Horsfield of H2 Design Ltd personally took care of the interior details. He describes Tatiana as follows: "The client is a very experienced yacht owner and had a very clear concept of the yacht as this is the largest yacht of them. Tatiana has a contemporary layout with generous living rooms as well as a huge spa and beach club in the aft which are considered highlights of her design. We tried to bring a crisp and contemporary feel by using a rich palette of colors. Also, the exterior decks have a rich warm theme that completes this design approach. Overall, we are very proud to see a stunning interior that complements the modern lifestyle perfectly."

Bilgin Yachts has currently built three units of the 80-metre Bilgin 263 series. The second hull -which is already sold- is planned to be launched in 2021 and following that, the third hull of the model will be delivered to her owner in 2022. The series emphasizes eco-friendliness, featuring a special exhaust system that provides 100% clean air emissions. With two 2,560 kW engines, Tatiana can speed up to 19 knots, while the cruising speed 12 knots keeps her total fuel consumption as 250 l/h. She is built in compliance with IMO Tier III certification and is considered to be the most environmentally-friendly yacht in her class.

The third unit of the series, namely NB78 is being produced with a completely new layout and shifted to the outfitting facility in West Istanbul Marina. Meanwhile, the new 85-meter ordered superyacht construction start is planned for May 2020 with delivery in 2024. There is also an on-spec project of 74-meter superyacht construction coming along for 2022, while the latest project is a 50-meter below 500GT superyacht, planned to be manufactured and completed as well in 2022. Both yachts have their designs signed by Unique Yacht Design. They have modern lines, spacious interior and exterior living areas as well as meeting all the latest manufacturing standards and best practices of the industry.
