FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Chris Fretz was among the first owners to sail the new Melges 15 in July. He and a group of friends came together to bring a fleet of Melges 15s to Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club in Beach Haven, NJ. "We love how quick the boat accelerates with the spinnaker. The M15 is easy to de-power and can sail under control in the breeze, but really lights up at the windward mark."

JEROME WINS SECTION IN BAYVIEW MACKINAC RACE
Fred and Ward Detweiler's Jerome won their section in the first North American distance race since March. Starting in Port Huron, MI, and finishing off Mackinac Island, Jerome finished the 200 mile course in 38 hours.

UPWIND SAIL TRIM - HEAVY AIR
The Melges IC37 Class capped off its successful five-part webinar series last week. The final topic covered upwind sail trim in heavy air. Led by Class Coach Greg Fisher, the session featured special guests Ben Kinney of Members Only and Mike Marshall from North Sails.

BACK ON COURSE
The Melges 14 Fleet officially restarted its season in Scarlino, ITA! After six races, the undisputed leader was Piero Poggi, who finished the regatta with four bullets. He was followed on the podium by Leopoldo Sirolli and Alessio Muciaccia.
