Atlantic Cruising Yachts (ACY) has expanded with a new partnership to represent Dufour Yachts in Texas and the Gulf Coast, the company announced Tuesday. This expansion comes on the heels of Dufour Yachts announcing ACY as its new U.S. dealer, covering New Jersey south through Florida. James Tiernan, former Dufour yacht owner who has years of experience and a strong reputation in the local Texas boating community, will be the President of ACY Texas, with offices headquartered in Kemah, the heart of Gulf Coast cruising in Texas.

"I am excited to be representing Atlantic Cruising Yachts and Dufour Yachts in Texas. ACY offers yacht buyers and owners an exceptional experience from the first meeting through the purchase, delivery, warranty service and aftersales support," Tiernan said. "Our new partnership with ACY in Texas will bring that great experience to cruisers in Texas".

With James' experience in the catamaran and charter market, he will also work hand in hand with ACY on developing and growing Waypoints® yacht charters, opening new locations and placing new catamarans in bareboat and private charter locations worldwide.

One of the largest sailing yacht dealerships in North America, ACY has consistently been named Fountaine Pajot's worldwide Dealer of the Year. The company represents Fountaine Pajot power and sailing catamarans, and Dufour monohulls. They will represent both manufacturers at the Annapolis Boat Show this fall as well as the Miami International Boat Show in 2021.

The company believes expansion in Texas will continue to benefit yacht owners, improving availability and delivery timelines for new Dufour yachts, due to ACY's size and strong relationship with manufacturers. Dufour Yachts boasts one of the world's largest shipyards, based in La Rochelle, France. The company's line of monohulls range from 31 to 63 feet, and emphasize performance, comfort, and responsive, intuitive design.

"We're excited to be able to serve Texas and Gulf Coast yacht owners with the level of service and commitment we've delivered for decades now, from our new, expanded locations," said Christian Bent, President of Atlantic Cruising Yachts.

Atlantic Cruising Yachts has received recognition for its innovative ownership programs, like the signature Business Yacht Ownership® program, which can help owners offset the costs of a new yacht. The company's charter management network, Waypoints®, allows owners to charter their yacht from a range of East Coast, Florida and Caribbean locations, with charter and management programs structured to offset the costs with professional management and maintenance.
