Aiming to boost the marine industry in the lead up to summer, the first Sovereign Island Marina Boat Show hosted by AMT Marine Luxury Boat Brokerage is scheduled for 11 to 13 September on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Showcasing 50 premium motor yachts from 30 to 120-feet, as well as the latest RIB tenders, marine electronics, accessories and equipment, the Sovereign Island Marina Boat Show will also encompass prestige automotive brands in a sensational line-up, dining, a champagne garden and entertainment for the whole family.

On land, there will be 42 exhibitor stands complementing the on-water array of luxury brokerage vessels. Displays will cover PWCs, wakeboats, race boats, ATVs and various marine businesses.

A massive marquee will welcome guests for an Exhibitor event on the Friday night, followed by a VIP/Client function on Saturday.

The venue is the idyllically situated Sovereign Island Marina - a convenient midway point between Southport Yacht Club and Marina Mirage in the south, and the Marine Precinct to the north.

Andy Taylor, Managing Director of AMT Marine says the boat show has already received strong support from the Queensland marine industry and close to 20 exhibitors have signed on.

"With no boat shows so far this year, retailers and distributors are thrilled to be able to show their latest and greatest products," he says. "We have been really pleased with support and are focused on creating a fantastic show that delivers for exhibitors and really captures the imaginations of visitors."

Exhibitors who have registered stands at the event include BRIG, D'Aprix Marine, Dockmate, GC Marine, Davco Winch, M-Tech, Southern Stainless, JBM Boat Management, Pro Fender, Gold Coast City Marina and The Boat Works.

Dylan Lopez, Managing Director at Sirocco Marine North/BRIG Queensland, said he jumped at the chance to exhibit at the new incarnation of a "legendary show".

"There's a great history there," observed Dylan. "Grant Torrens made Sovereign Island an epic place for a boat show with his opulent displays and we are super keen to be joining Andy in the next wave of this iconic show."

BRIG will have three brand new models on water, the Eagle 10, Eagle 8 and Eagle 670, along with Master 5 BRIG Captains to conduct sea trials and a floating BRIG lounge for the brand's trademark hospitality throughout the three-day event.
