by Yvan Eymieu 8 Jul 2020 22:56 PDT

Aquila Power Catamarans recently announced a new addition to the lineup, the Aquila 54. This 54'2" (16.5 meters) yacht is perfect for cruising, entertaining, and experiencing life on the water.

Dave Bigge, Vice President of Aquila International, stated, "the 54 will be a spectacular addition to the Aquila line. This vessel offers sensible working decks, plentiful storage, and spacious interiors. Continuing to push the innovation forward, the 54 offers some amazing versatility floorplan options and flybridge configurations."

The Aquila 54 Power Catamaran embodies the features and construction methods of hundreds of Aquila's cruising the waters of the world. This model, set to debut in 2020, enhances onboard luxuries with full-sized refrigeration, abundant counter space, signature outdoor serving and entertaining bar, architectural stairs, water maker, washer and dryer, and many more desirable cruising comforts. Layouts include three, four, and five-cabin options as well as modern "galley-down" configuration plus skipper's quarters.

The galley-down option removes the fifth cabin and converts the space into a kitchen allowing the salon to take on a formal dining layout complimented by a seating lounge.

Owners will delight in the innovative transit windows in the master cabin. These windows provide panoramic views and fill the space with natural light, adding to the spacious feeling of the full-beam forward master cabin. The signature full-beam master provides owners, a "no compromise" feeling on storage, headroom, comfort, and luxury.

In the salon, panoramic tempered glass side windows, extra headroom, and deep comfortable lounge seating welcomes guests aboard. In the cockpit, the dining area is adjacent to the indoor/outdoor bar. Featuring a yacht style table and independent chairs, dining or entertaining will be convenient, comfortable and practical. Beyond the rear gated transom openings, a large swim platform leaves room for plenty of activities as well as supporting a yacht tender on solid mounting blocks. Engineered with uninterrupted tempered glass front windscreen, for either an open or completely enclosed and climate-controlled flybridge, the Aquila 54 features the versatility to appeal to a global audience of boating enthusiasts, no matter the climate.

Bigge continues, "the list of standard features will impress anyone familiar with vessels of this size. Performance, another hallmark of the Aquila brand, will allow for high-speed travel and slower, more efficient, extended cruising ranges. The exceptional approach to hull design employed by the Aquila design team allows identification of the optimum engine package for the vessel while building and exacting lifting, sea keeping, and planeing characteristics for the ultimate efficiency in hull design and on-board comfort.

The Aquila 54 is a stylish vessel featuring sweeping lines and dramatic bow with wave-piercing bulb technology. Through partnerships with a genuinely international design team and the energetic group at the Aquila factory, this model is scheduled to arrive in global markets in the fall of 2020. As the world leader in power catamaran production, the Aquila 54 promises to be an instant success as pre-production orders exceed 15 "retail sold" units as of the date of this release.
