They were sailing in mid-Winter and just over a week after the shortest day - one can only guess as to the wind chill factor in the AC75 foiling at 30-35kts.
The performance of the AC75 was impressive, with very few touchdowns, aside from one spectacular incident where they appeared to hit a ferry wake.
We also saw what looked to be the makings of another "Sky Jump" as the AC75 reared up with the stern sinking - hallmarks of an impending moment of excitement for the crew and spectacle for the fans. After the jump and subsequent capsize on their last sail before Christmas, the sailing team seem to have put in the hours on the simulator and from a very bow up position (in the image at the top of this story) Te Aihe settled down into regular flight.
