At an Australian Sailing Team camp currently being conducted off Australia’s East coast at Coffs Harbour, 470 Dynamic Duo, Mat Belcher and Will Ryan have been treated to some spectacular times.

Reflecting upon winning multiple World Championships and Olympic glory, Belcher commented on the sights they behold by saying, “The whales have been utterly brilliant. There have been so many of them over the last 10 days. Coffs Harbour has also been a great training venue and a really nice change. Being sort of halfway between my home on the Gold Coast and Sydney also makes it much easier to get home.”

“We find it very humbling to be around the whales. They are so massive, and it is wonderful to see the beauty of them like this. It’s the way they glide through the water and they are so playful. Their sheer size is quite unbelievable.”

“It is incredible just how quickly they come without you even noticing. They are such a big distraction, but wonderful light relief as we go about our training. Something that is really tremendous” said Belcher in closing.
