Congratulations to Peter Tindal (from Miss Behavin'), our 2020 Sigma 33 Virtual Regatta Champion! Racing took place in Virtual Cowes where we had glorious sunshine, 20 knots and a total of 34 boats racing!

Racing in the Gold Final was very tight between all competitors with consistency being the key to success! The Silver Fleet was won by Colin Greer (from Vendeval). In the Qualifier, Colin disconnected from every race bar one and only just qualified for the final. Tonight he pulled it out the bag and cleaned the board with a 1, 1, 2. The battle for the overall top sigma was won by Insider.

Prizes are also being awarded to Harry O'Leary (Knight's Challenge) for saving the qualifier results by recording only one set of results but it so happened that those were the only results the race committee forgot to record, Wouter Verhulst (Switch) -- All the way from holland, Wouter was our furthest travelled competitor and Mikey Miller (Mayrise) -- at 14 years old, Mikey was the youngest competitor on the field and it is a delight to see such young sigma sailors getting involved and keeping up to date in the class.

Thank you to Paul Prentice, Alan Lennox, Mark Bradshaw and James Miller for helping with the running and organising of the event. Thank you to North Sails and UK Sailmakers for sponsoring the event and supplying a fantastic array of prizes!

Finally, thank you to all who took part. The event was a great success and throughly enjoyed!

There is discussion of organising a Sigma 33 Virtual Team Racing Competition in the near future so stay tuned and keep an eye out for further updates!

Keep safe everyone! Race Committee out!
