Marlin Bay Resort & Marina is resuming operations on June 1st, offering travelers a serene, safe and relaxing environment to enjoy summer and beyond.

The resort has taken time to reimagine their offerings and how guests can enjoy all there is available while feeling secure. There are just 13 luxurious vacation homes available as well as 74 wet slips and 24 boat lifts, giving visitors a chance to enjoy a piece of paradise without crowds.

Marlin Bay Resort & Marina offers laidback luxury by land and sea for any type of waterside escape in the Florida Keys. Guests can enjoy a relaxing getaway in a stunning home or on their boats surrounded by serene waters. Whether it is a multi-generational family vacation, vow renewals, trip with a group of likeminded friends or a couple's retreat, Marlin Bay offers a stylish and easy experience.

The resort features three and four-bedroom private and spacious vacation homes that combine casual design with lavish modern amenities. The 13 vacation homes offer magnificent views and have private balconies as well as open living spaces, ideal for guests who need to plug into work, do private workouts or simply relax in their own space. Decorative items that are high touch as well as magazines have been removed from all homes to ensure sanitized spaces. The houses remain fully stocked, including EPA registered cleaning supplies and a bottle of hand sanitizer, and beautifully decorated. The four-bedroom houses also feature private plunge pools.

Visitors who would like to stay on their boats can take advantage of the private and state-of-the-art marina that offers daily, weekly, and monthly rentals for vessels. The marina features 74 wet slips as well as 24 boat lifts along with a full slate of boating services.

Guests staying on land and at sea can enjoy a variety of resort facilities including a heated pool where there will be a newly appointed pool concierge, catering to needs such as handling beverage orders to minimize interaction as well as ensuring social distancing. Pool and ping pong tables, foosball and board games are all part of the fun and will be closely monitored in terms of guest usage and thoroughly cleaned between uses. There will also be a hand sanitizer station available for all to use, and staff will always be equipped with hand sanitizer. Guests can take advantage of the sunshine and outdoors with kayaks and paddleboards that are available for rent onsite.

Concierge services will be offered via phone, text and email, as well as in-person by appointment. Guests will still benefit from personalized services that are executed virtually. Before arrival, the concierge team will contact visitors about remote check-in. Prior to and during the trip, the team will assist with current information and their recommendations for activities and safe dining options. The team will work closely with guests to discuss all of the incredible and unique experiences that visitors can partake in at the resort and assist in booking any activities that are available outside of Marlin Bay as well.

Marathon has some of the best boating activities in the Florida Keys as well as beaches and state parks and is typically less crowded than the rest of the Keys. Travelers can also feed stingrays at Aquarium Encounters, see dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center and enjoy the sun at Sombrero Beach.

"We are delighted to welcome guests back to Marlin Bay Resort & Marina. We have been working hard the last few months to reimagine and adapt the resort to meet the needs of today's travelers," said Claudine Williams, General Manager of Marlin Bay Resort & Marina. "We are happy to offer guests a variety of experiences both on land and at sea to ensure visitors have an unforgettable vacation while feeling safe and secure."

Marlin Bay Resort & Marina has updated their cleanliness and safety protocols in line with Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) guidelines, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations, American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) "Safe Stay" initiatives, along with State, Federal and local guidelines.

The resort has implemented remote check-in and check-out, added signage in public spaces to enforce social distancing and is constantly disinfecting commonly touched surfaces throughout the resort and marina. Due to the enhanced cleaning techniques and standards in the vacation rentals, arrival time has changed to 5 p.m. and departure time is now 9 a.m. Until further notice, no outside guests or day visitors will be allowed, and groups must be 10 or less people. The concierge is constantly monitoring the status of local regulations, businesses, restaurants, attractions and services, to provide guests with the most updated information.
