What a show...! For Adventures Weekly on 15 May 2020 the Sailor Girl welcomed Tracy Edwards MBE, direct from the UK to chat about her inspiring journey with Maiden, and The Maiden Factor.

For a full sixty minutes we chatted about the early days, the Whitbread, the Maiden movie, her motivation(s), the tough times, the good times, and now why she is so motivated to support the education of women globally through The Maiden Factor.

You can also help to support female education by purchasing your own part of the Maiden journey.

Coronavirus has affected the whole world and The Maiden Factor is no exception. Sadly, we have had to postpone the next leg of Maiden's mission, raising funds to empower girls around the world, by helping to remove barriers to accessing education.

Maiden is now laid up in port and her crew returned home to be with family and loved ones during these difficult times. We are reaching out to our supporters to help keep the mission alive.

During Maiden's 2017 refit many of the original parts of this historic vessel had to be replaced and updated. Some of these pieces have gone to maritime museums and yacht clubs around the world. We have decided to offer more of these historic items for sale to raise money to keep Maiden's dream of education for all alive."

PLEASE HELP MAIDEN TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING GIRLS AROUND THE WORLD WHO ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS EDUCATION.

We also went over the trivia competition from this week, brought to you by Pantaenius Yacht Insurance! Congrats to our winner for this week, who along with winning a prize pack, will also join each of the winners of the weekly video competition for our major prize draw in December of this year!

COMPETITION DETAILS HERE.

We will be back next week with John Bertrand OA, skipper of Australia II, bronze medallist in the Finn, multiple World Champion, and now CEO of Swimming Australia - 1800 AEST, 0900 UK time, 0400 EST on our Facebook page.
