At 2 pm (12 pm UTC) on 21 May, Beneteau will fire the starting gun of a new version of its renowned Beneteau Cup, which will be taking place on the Virtual Regatta platform this year.

Take the helm of the new Oceanis 40.1 in a 500 nm virtual loop around the Balearic Islands, with the start and finish taking place at our sea trial base in Port Ginesta, Spain.

Virtual Regatta is a free online strategic game that is very popular with sailing enthusiasts during races such as the Route du Rhum and the Vendée Globe. Enjoy plotting the best course according to weather systems and getting the most of the boat's performance. It is a great way to share our passion for sailing, though of course we would have preferred to compete in the water!

Handle the new Oceanis 40.1

The Beneteau Cup is open to the public and to the entire Virtual Regatta community of over 500,000 members. It represents an opportunity to race on board the latest boat in the Oceanis line, the Oceanis 40.1.

With an innovative flared hull design, and steps extending over a third of the bow, take advantage of the potential speed below the waterline and stiffness under sail as you race. Equipped with the First Line pack, this new generation cruiser, designed by Marc Lombard, will win over the most demanding sailors, who will find her high performing and a joy to sail!

One race, several rankings

Since most of your customers' boats are currently moored, Beneteau is offering all its owners, wherever they are, a chance to keep in contact with the sea and to review their sailing strategy, by inviting them to take part in the Beneteau Cup. Beneteau owners will be able to compete with each other in a specific "Beneteau Owners" ranking, using a code provided by their dealers.

The Beneteau Cup 2020 is also an opportunity for the Vendee Boatyard to involve the dealership network. Our dealerships' employees will be able to race with their colleagues from all over the world, by registering in the "Beneteau Network" group.

This event is for everyone - the general public, owners, dealers, and Beneteau employees. The Beneteau teams are already honing their strategy and plan to make life difficult for the participants of this big friendly regatta in the Mediterranean.

Win three stand-up paddles

Especially for the occasion, Beneteau is offering a chance to win three stand-up paddles: one paddle for the overall winner of the race, 1 paddle in a draw from the first 1,000 boats to finish and 1 paddle in a draw from the first 30 contenders in the Beneteau Owners group.

Registrations open today
