Racing got underway at 1.00pm on Saturday afternoon, off the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, in the Club Marine Insurance Winter Series - which attracted a strong fleet - all keen to break free after the weeks of lockdown.

Conditions were idyllic with a 7-10kt seabreeze and plenty of sunshine - most crews sailed on t-shirts and shorts - not the usual garb for a winter series.

Mayhem (Harry Dodson) lead the fleet from start to finish.
