62Steel: The new creation of Sanlorenzo sets new standards for metal superyachts

by Marinetta Intini 16 Apr 2020 23:42 PDT

In this moment of great concern, Sanlorenzo wants to look to the future with a positive spirit. Hence the choice of illustrating a project that relies on the work of the entire team, from the technical division to styling and skilled craftsmen. The 62Steel, whose construction is temporarily in stand-by, as it's happening to everyone, is a 100% Sanlorenzo creation, an important project that will be completed thanks to the care and work of exceptionally high quality of the whole Sanlorenzo team, the true motor of the shipyard, from which everything can begin anew.

With an overall length of 61.50 meters, maximum beam of 11.9, gross tonnage of 1200 and five decks, the new Sanlorenzo 62Steel offers surprising solutions that set new standards in the metal superyacht sector. A proposal of elegant, timeless design and discreet, harmonious lines, thanks to ample volumes, an innovative layout and advanced technologies, to guarantee exceptional comfort and on-board livability never seen before on a model of this size.

A unique concept that translates into the incredible spaces of the vast, sumptuous owner's apartment, the large main living area and the majestic beach club on the lower deck.

Among the characteristics features of the 62Steel project, the owner's apartment has an area of 210 square meters, of which 97 indoors, organized in the nighttime zone, a studio, two spacious bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room, and 123 outdoors at the bow of the upper owner's deck.

The focal point of convivial pleasures is the main living area on the main deck, sharing the 90 square meters of space with the indoor dining room that seats up to 16 persons. At the stern of this deck, the outdoor living space borders on the guest swimming pool, designed with a sliding roof that transforms it into a sundeck of almost 8 square meters.

The stern of the lower deck opens to form an impressive beach club that extends into the deck for 92 m2 containing lounge areas, a bar zone, a fitness space and a hammam, joined by another 40 m2 of folding terraces at the stern and the two sides, offering guests a magnificent "au fil de l'eau" experience for swimming, diving and sunbathing, in close proximity to the sparkling sea.

The 62Steel superyacht has been designed by the technical and styling divisions of Sanlorenzo with a streamlined profile. The structure, volumes and layout have been created starting with the concept of the 64Steel, the Sanlorenzo flagship with a length of 64 meters and 1600 GRT, a yacht that has set a new standard for the industry.

Sanlorenzo 62Steel makes its official debut for the international public and press at the Monaco Yacht Show 2020. Three units are already in the construction phase, with the first slated for launch in the month of May 2020, the second in April 2021, and the third for delivery in 2022.
