With everyone being encouraged #stayhome you too can keep your sail trimming finely honed like Doyle Sails specialist Willem van Waay

Time to go back sailing will be here before we know it! Staying home now is important to preserve the health of everybody and to be back to what we love the most in reasonable times.

We'll be sailing again soon.. and while we look forward to that moment.. we imagine we are sailing

Sailing rockstar Willem Van Way teaches us that sometimes a bathtub, a Doyle sail and a lot of imagination can save us from tough moments in quarantine!

And we also learned that communication on board is very important, as well as cleanliness in the cockpit and some sun screen on your face.

Stay home, stay safe and be back sailing soon!

Act like Doyle specialist Willem Van Waay: #stayhome and don't stop dreaming

Or if you're into Optimist sailing - here's the Doyle Sails/Pilkington family entry into the RNZYS Lockdown Sailing at Home competition (which made it to the primetime sports news in NZ).

RNZYS Lockdown Sailing at Home Competiton - Entry #1 'Opti in the Pool'

COMPETITION TIME: With all of you stuck at home for the nationwide lockdown and unable to head out on the water sailing, we are launching our 'RNZYS Lockdown Sailing at Home' Competition!

We want YOU to send us your videos or photos of how you are best incorporating sailing into your daily lockdown lives. We encourage you to get creative with these, and it is open to ALL - kids and adults.

We will share all entries on our Facebook page, and there are lots of great prizes up for grabs for our favourites, with the entry that gets the most 'likes' winning the grand prize ??

You can send your video's or photos to: adelves@rnzys.org.nz - or simply post on your own social media with the hashtag: #RNZYSLockdownSailingatHome

Entry #1 'Opti in the Pool' was sent in by the Pilkington Family, and it's going to be hard to top!

We look forward to seeing what you can come up with ??
