Over the last two years Yeah Baby has been constantly upgraded and refitted by Boatec Australia in Sydney, with major strengthening of all deck fittings and load points, with a proud record of no retirements from any race since the current owners purchased the boat in 2013. Recent work done on the boat includes replacement of all electrical wiring, installation of two halyard locks, replacement of all rod rigging and turnbuckles, replacement of all running rigging, new engine, painting of mast and boom (black), purchase of Norths 3DI #1 and #2 jibs, Norths A2 and A4 kites, and Doyle's A6 kite; installation of new carbon composite steering wheels (x2).
