As an evolution of the business, the group behind the successful Whitehaven and Integrity Motor Yachts brands have expanded in brokerage with Spectrum Marine.

Spectrum Marine will act as sales agents for any motivated owner seeking to sell their boat and, in direct response to the boat ownership path, will tend to the brokerage and service needs of Whitehaven and Integrity Motor Yachts' clients.

Based at Sanctuary Cove, Spectrum Marine offers sales and marketing of boats backed up by the boat building, production, design, and engineering expertise of the parent company to service clients throughout Australia. Moving from traditional boat inspections, customers will have the option of virtual inspections and access to the team to prepare their boats for extended cruising.

Additionally, the brokerage house will also retain the Queensland Integrity Motor Yachts' dealership as Sanctuary Cove is the original home of the brand in Australia and has historically been one of the highest performing locations.

Bruce Scott, managing director of the group, is a long-term boat owner who made the successful transition into custom boat building through launching the Whitehaven Motor Yachts brand in Australia in 2012.

Capitalising on the design and production prowess of the Whitehaven team, Scott saw an opportunity to expand into distributing the Integrity brand in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and northwest America. In doing so, the team has made a myriad of improvements to the design and production quality of the Integrity range of full displacement recreational boats. Now, with a significant number of boats in the field, the group has expanded into brokerage.

Scott explains the expansion, "We were increasingly accepting trade-ins and assisting people selling their existing boat before taking delivery of their new Whitehaven or Integrity Motor Yacht. We saw Spectrum Marine as the next logical step in the group's growth and service offering to the wider boat owning community. At this critical time, it also serves to support our clients throughout their boating journey."

The brokerage is led by Brendon Symons who is not a new face in the industry having spent years in the Caribbean and on the US Eastern Seaboard captaining superyachts and project managing three new builds over 90 feet. He has since transitioned to marine brokerage sales, calling on his love of the water and deep appreciation for the needs of individual vessel owners. In late 2019, Symons and Scott joined forces to offer a greater range of services to their combined client base.

"As the name suggests, we will offer brokerage services to the full spectrum of boat owners whilst maintaining the very successful Integrity Motor Yachts dealership. Where we differ is in our approach. We have people expert in vessel design, construction and operation. Combining this expertise with sales and marketing experience gives Spectrum a well rounded professional team. Given the uncertainty in the world presently, clients will benefit from multifaceted, honest, expert advice on the suitability of any given vessel," explained Brendon Symons, general manager of Spectrum Marine.

Based on the Gold Coast, Spectrum Marine has assembled a team of brokers who represent expertise in sub-sectors of the boating market including bay cruisers, motor and sports yachts and sailing yachts. Under Symon's management, the Spectrum Marine team manage the vessels' marketing and sales, the Whitehaven and Integrity team will complement operations from the Sydney headquarters with administrative and technical support.

"Having a sales and marketing plus boat building and production support within the brokerage will really add value. It is unique to Spectrum and we are optimistic about our future growth plans in development," continued Mr Symons.

Spectrum Marine will be offering virtual boat inspections as well as support to boat owners wishing to prepare for extended cruising throughout the coming months of social distancing.
