Ullswater Yacht Club Daffodil Regatta - Preview

Ullswater Yacht Club's first open event of the season, the Daffodil Regatta is being held on Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26. There'll be daffodils galore at the prize-giving as UYC joins in Ullswater's spring celebrations in praise of Wordsworth's favourite flower.

The Daffodil Regatta offers great racing in beautiful surroundings and racers of all classes are welcome.It is also a travellers event for the Musto Skiffs, Waszp, Moths, VX Ones and RS200s. Racing will be split into two fleets, a windward/leeward for the asymmetrics and a mixture of courses for the conventional boats. All fleets will sail seven races over the weekend - four on Saturday, start not before 11.30am, and three on Sunday, start not before 11am, with a briefing at 11am on the Saturday.

There's camping and campervan parking on site from Friday night and the UYC galley will be open at 9am on Saturday and Sunday for bacon rolls and then light lunches which must be pre-booked. The Angel Lane Chippie Van will be on site selling fish and chips on Friday from 7-8pm and on Saturday evening there'll be a two course meal followed by entertainment, please book on the Saturday morning.

Entry to the event and booking for camping is through the UYC website at: ullswateryachtclub.org/event/427519 Entries close at midnight on 22nd April. Entries can be made at registration on the Saturday, subject to a £10 surcharge.
