Clipper Route record attempt: IDEC Sport expected in London next week

The world's fastest sailboat, IDEC SPORT, is due to sail into London next week between Wednesday 19th February and Thursday 20th February.
Record-breaking French sailor Francis Joyon and his crew left Hong Kong on the 18th of January and have raced against the clock to try and beat the legendary Clipper Route record.
The time to beat is 36 days, 2 hours and 37 minutes.
To break this record, Francis and his team must arrive in London by 11:36:58 on Sunday 23rd February.
The race is on!
After winning the round-the-world Jules Verne Trophy in 2017, and a nail-biting victory in the 2018 Route du Rhum, the IDEC SPORT maxi-trimaran, its skipper Francis Joyon and the crew have since been on the IDEC SPORT Asian Tour in an attempt to smash six records, including five brand new race courses between Europe and Asia.
