The Hinckley Company announced new leadership for our Yacht Services business in Florida and a new YachtCare program for classic Picnic Boats in the region.

Matt Berbig joined Hinckley Yacht Services several months ago as General Manager of our YachtCare Center in Stuart, Florida. Matt joins Hinckley following 12 years as Director of Yard Operations at MacDougalls' Cape Cod Marine Service, a leading provider of yacht services on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Today Matt Abbott joins Matt Berbig in Stuart as Director of Customer Service for the Southeast. Matt has over 21 years of experience with Hinckley Yachts in Southwest Harbor, Maine where he served as Ownership Experience Manager and led the trainings of many of our new yacht owners. On the Gulf Coast, Rafael Ramirez joined Hinckley just over a year ago as General Manager of our Yacht Services business on the Gulf Coast from Lauderdale Marine Center where he was Operations Manager running all shipyard and marina logistics and operating activities for the largest yacht repair facility in the United States.

The upgrades to our Yacht Services team in Florida will allow us to dramatically improve the services we provide to owners in the region and those who have trusted Hinckley to move their boat south for the season. The new team is in place with extensive new investments in Florida now open for business including a brand new 40,000 sq. ft. category 5 storm rated, climate controlled storage facility in Stuart as well as a new Gulf Coast facility in Fort Myers.

We are redoubling our commitment to a region that remains incredibly important to our business. As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Picnic Boat this year, we are excited to announce YachtCare Classic, a service program tailored specifically for our early model yachts in the region.

Key details of the YachtCare Classic offering in Florida include:

  • Outside storage in Stuart or indoor storage in Fort Myers
  • Mechanical-focused program for basic maintenance of diesel, jet and control systems
  • Mobile service for yachts in year round rack storage offsite
  • This year only, automatic CPO certification upon passing inspection with 1 year of YachtCare enrollment as compared to the standard 3 year requirement
  • Experienced and dedicated YachtCare Manager guided by our new team in the region 24/7 in season support
