It's tough and challenging;
It's also hugely enjoyable and rewarding;
It's a race of a lifetime;
It's the most iconic multi-sport race in Asia—the Beneteau Four Peaks Race.

17 boats crossed the line in Hong Kong's Tai Tam Bay on January 11th, unveiling another thrilling edition of the Beneteau Four Peaks Race. Among the 130 participants signed up for the edition, there were exciting first-timers and a proud sixteenth-timer, confident boat owners who wanted to beat the record, two runners with strong endurance who ran all the four peaks, as well as veteran sailors from different nationalities.

The weather was beautiful for the challenge, and boats raced neck and neck at sea to get advantages for their runners on the peaks as all the teams were required to finish the race in 36.5 hours. The Four Peaks Race is one of the greatest challenges for sailors and runners, requiring the highest levels of finesse, tenacity, and seamanship. Over the course of the day and night, the boats sail to the islands where the runners are dropped off to race in kayaks on beaches and ascend the peaks for each round. Each crew is required to conquer four rugged mountains without clear trails, including Lantau Peak—the second highest peak in Hong Kong, Ma On Shan (or the Twins), Mount Stenhouse and Violet Hill.

What's the enduring charm of the Four Peaks Race to keep people coming back and new faces joining in year after year? To discover the amazing unknown sides of Hong Kong at sea and peaks; to bring together people united by common passions of adventures; to push the physical limits; to put great teamwork into play under an international competing environment; to tackle contingencies and uncertain challenges skillfully; most of all, to win.

Sign up for the next edition. It promises to be an unforgettable experience.
