The Australia SailGP Team has appointed Sail Racing, a leader in innovative sailing apparel, as the Official Technical Clothing Partner for the Australia SailGP Team. The multiyear partnership will see the team outfitted in Sail Racing apparel from the Season 2 opener of the SailGP global championship, taking place in Sydney on February 28 and 29.

From on-water technical gear, to lifestyle apparel, Sail Racing's experienced team of professional designers, engineers and manufacturers specialise in building garments that thrive in high-speed sailing conditions. This makes Sail Racing perfectly suited to set theAustralia team up for success as they enter SailGP Season 2 as the defending champions.

Australia Helmsman and CEO Tom Slingsby said: "I'm proud to have Sail Racing, a brand that is held in such high regard in our industry, join our team. When sailing these flying F50 catamarans, which can reach speeds of over 50knots/100kph, our on-water technical gear has a big impact on how we perform. I believe that the durable, reliable and innovative gear that Sail Racing offers is what sets them apart from other brands and will support our team as we compete in a wide range of climates and conditions at each event."

Joakim Berne, CEO of Sail Racing International AB said:"We are very excited to be working with Tom Slingsby and the incredible athletes in the Australia SailGP Team, supporting them in their campaign to defend theSailGP Championship trophy in Season 2. The team will be outfitted in our most technical gear, the 50 KTS collection, which is designed and developed to sustain the unique speed and conditions of the F50 catamaran."
