Optimist World Championship 2020 - Notice Of Race published

Almost six months before the start of the most awaited appointment of the 2020 youth sailing calendar, the Optimist World Championship, the organization of the event has published the Notice of Race of the regatta that will be hosted from July 1st to 11th in Riva del Garda (Italy) thanks to the hospitality of Fraglia Vela Riva.

The information contained in the Notice of Race is many and precious, starting from the event program: the registration and measurement operations will start on Wednesday 1st July and will continue until the next day, when the event will officially open with the inaugural ceremony.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the action gets under way with the fleet involved in the qualifying regattas that will lead to the division of the athletes in Gold and Silver fleet: those who will qualify to the Gold Fleet, from Wednesday 8th July will then compete to find out who will succeed Marco Gradoni in the golden books of the Optimist World Champions.

The name of the World Champion will be unveiled on Friday 10th July, while on Tuesday 7th the winner of the Team Race World Championship will be crowned: the Team Race World Championship will take place on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th.

Registration must be completed by May 15, 2020.
