The Melges IC37 Class returns to sunny Fort Lauderdale for the second event of the Winter Series. Racers are looking forward to taking refuge in the warm temperatures and tough competition. The Melges Team will be onsite with photo and video updates on the Class social media accounts.

LUCY WINS WINTER SERIES NO. 1
Congratulations to Jeremy Alexis's Lucy , winner of the first Melges 32 Winter Series event In Tampa, Florida over the past weekend. Davis Island Yacht Club is hosting events in January, February, and March.

WARCANOE WINS FIRST WINTER SERIES EVENT
The heat was on in Miami with Michael Goldfarb's Warcanoe topping the charts at the first event of the Bacardi Winter Series. After a wildly windy day on Saturday, teams motored out under AP on Sunday. Warcanoe won Race 4 and the event, but it was the newest Melges 24, Zenda Express , that won Race 5. What's the key to speed? Young Harry Melges IV advises to try a new boat!

RUSSIANS AT THE TOP IN MIAMI
Congratulations to Igor Rytov's Russian Bogatyrs on winning the Melges 20 World League and Vladimir Prosikhin's NIKA on winning the first event of the Winter Series. When we finished the last race, we expected to be second and we were very happy with that, Prosikhin explained. It was truly a surprise! The fleet is very strong with a few boats who can win any regatta.
