Yanmar introduces new generation electronics and latest technology at METSTRADE

by Saltwater Stone 14 Nov 2019 05:22 PST 19-21 November 2019

Yanmar is introducing its latest new-generation electronics at this year's METSTRADE.

The YD42 Multi-Function Color Display and YD25 LCD Switch Panel Display will make their debut at the show as Yanmar highlights the advanced technology and innovations behind its complete line-up of sailboat and powerboat engines.

Offering innovative functionality and a compact and modern style, the new multi-purpose engine switch and instrument display solutions are ideal for a range of yachts, catamarans, motorboats and RIBs.

Featuring a low-profile glass helm design and a 4.1-inch full color screen, the multi-purpose, water-resistant Yanmar YD42 reads and displays Yanmar engine alarm and diagnostic codes. Users can also view additional information from engine speed and load, oil pressure and coolant temperature, to wind, speed, depth and AIS data. Supporting eight languages, the YD42 is compatible with a wide range of NMEA 2000 devices and allows engine data to be easily transmitted to other multi-function displays. Its data screens are easy to configure based on preference.

The YD25 LCD Switch Panel Display, with engine start/stop functionality, shows all Yanmar engine data, alarms and diagnostic codes, and also integrates with multi-function displays and glass helm systems. Intuitive data screen selection keys allow viewing of information including engine speed, engine load, oil pressure and coolant temperature on four customisable screens.

Yanmar, leading supplier of innovative engines and technology-driven marine propulsion systems, recently launched its next-generation five-engine 4LV sterndrive marine diesel engine models fitted with the Yanmar ZT370 to complete its 4LV series. The latest models strengthen its portfolio alongside the popular Yanmar 6LY and 8LV series and the proven JH common rail (CR) series of sailboat engines.

Offering exceptional acceleration, fuel efficiency, quiet and virtually smoke and odor free operation, and low vibration for a smooth-running engine, the comprehensive and high-performance Yanmar range suit a wide variety of vessels from sailboats, superyacht tenders and motorboats to fast sports craft and ski boats.
