From the media centre in the Royal Malta Yacht Club, I can hear the party starting to kick up a notch, as sailors, race officials and family start to relax into the conclusion of the 40th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

Over the past few days I have managed to wrap all of the stories that we looked into at the start of the race, and in the case of the first all-female team, a story that I looked into at the conclusion of the Rolex Fastnet Race.

Black Sheep take RORC Overall Season

I caught up with Jake and Trevor from Black Sheep as they docked and started celebrating their Royal Ocean Racing Club season overall win! Congratulations!!! What a massive effort, but hats off to Bellino who have pushed them the whole season.

Richard Schultheis completes first ocean race

I got the chance to wrap up with Richard Schultheis after his first offshore race in the Rolex Middle Sea Race, not only as a sailor but as a skipper at the age of 14!!! Not only did they experience every weather condition, they also assisted Blackwater and were part of the protest for redress. #inspired

Elusive 2 Celebrate their Overall Honours

I was also live for the IRC Overall prize giving at the Royal Malta Yacht Club yesterday. Congratulations once again to Elusive 2!!!

The Official Prize Giving

Today it was time for the official Rolex Middle Sea Race Prize Giving at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. What a venue, and great to celebrate those who achieved a result in their class for this edition!

First all-female team complete Rolex Middle Sea Race

What a way to wrap up my first Rolex Middle Sea Race; talking with the first all-female team to complete the Rolex Middle Sea Race, the Jarhead Young Sailors Foundation team from JAN. Absolutely amazing to see not only sailor girls on board given the opportunity to race, but also those under the age of 18! Amazing experience!

Thank you to the Rolex Middle Sea Race, the Royal Malta Yacht Club and Visit Malta for having me!

Now it is time to head onto the next adventure - see you soon at a Yacht Club near you!
