Once again the RYA are offering sailing clubs the opportunity to sign up for the free RYA Affiliated Club Conferences, supported by Gallagher, which will take place across the UK between November and January.

A benefit to all RYA affiliated clubs, the free conferences are a fantastic opportunity for club members to meet and network, share ideas and successes and discuss any current challenges that they may be facing.

This year's conferences are all about 'Putting People First' recognising the importance of getting the human element right-especially when clubs are looking to grow their membership, increase their volunteer base, develop their instructors and race coaches, or simply get better at retaining members of all ages, interests and abilities.

The events which are run by RYA Regional Development Officers also include regional updates, guest speakers and a suite of interactive workshops and update sessions. Feedback from previous years has been extremely positive with 95% of delegates rating the conferences as 'good' or 'very good'.

"Each event has been tailored to suit the needs and strengths of your region and will share the latest insights obtained through research, projects and club development" explains RYA Regional Development Manager Gareth Brookes.

"We're encouraging at least two people from each club to attend. There will also be plenty of time for networking and the aim is that club members will leave with all the ideas and information they need to prepare for a successful 2020 season" Gareth concludes.
