Royal Geelong Yacht Club has today announced its 2020 Festival of Sails early bird prize of a bareboat yacht charter in Phuket, Thailand on a beautiful Sunsail charter yacht worth $5000.

Festival Chairman, Stuart Dickson, welcomed the prize and is excited to draw out the winner.

"This is a great incentive for owners to get their entries in and what a fabulous prize from Sunsail," Stuart said.

"Who wouldn't want to win a charter in Thailand? It is one of the great cruising destinations in the world," he said.

Sunsail Australia Sales Manager, Jamie Scott, said the early bird prize is the experience of a lifetime and an opportunity not to be missed.

"If you're looking for adventure, it doesn't get any better than a bareboat yacht charter holiday," Jamie said.

"You have the freedom to discover the world's best sailing destinations on your own terms. You can squeeze in as many overnight stops and daytime anchorages as you like or take your time and make the most of every destination on your itinerary.

"A Phuket sailing holiday will introduce you to a world of exotic beauty and idyllic islands - discover ancient fishing villages and experience world-class diving and snorkelling spots. We look forward to helping the winner plan their Sunsail adventure," he said.

The 2020 Festival of Sails will run from the Royal Geelong Yacht Club and the Geelong Waterfront with a mixture of world class sailing, live entertainment and activities for the whole family from Saturday January 25 to Monday January 27, 2020.
