It's now a little over a week until the final event of the 2019 Optimum Time Phantom Southern Travellers Series at Salcombe Yacht Club.

This is the second year Salcombe Yacht Club have hosted a traveller's event and this year we are sharing with the Solos. Event details and online entry can be found here.

The entry is £26 for the weekend. There is a Pie & Chips supper on the Saturday in the bar to be shared with the Solos. Hopefully there will be a nice atmosphere of worn out sailors.

There will also be (limited) free beer! Camper vans can park on the boat park next to the slip & boats. Last year there was a small charge for this which is yet to be confirmed this year.

Local guru Alister Morley is offering either a sail around, or a tour in one of the club's ribs, on Saturday morning if anyone is new to the harbour and would like to see it and get some local knowledge. If anyone is interested in this could they please make this known on either the class forum or Facebook page.

As the sailors found out last year, there are at least five places to stop for a beer between the yacht club and boat park (and / or vice versa). There are also beautiful walks, nice places for lunch, lots of shops to explore and lovely scenery for anyone coming and not sailing.

So come on down and finish the season with two days of sailing on the iconic waters of Salcombe. We look forward to seeing you there.
