Innovative custom boat builder Intrepid Powerboats will unveil a new flagship sport yacht model, the Intrepid 477 Evolution, at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Oct. 30 - Nov. 3.

Inspired by 15 years of customer requests to customize Intrepid's popular 475 Sport Yacht, the new 47-foot 477 Evolution sport yacht elevates the boating experience with new standards in comfort and luxury paired with Intrepid's unmatched power and performance.

"We always say our customers are our best designers and that holds true more than ever with our new 477 Evolution," said Ken Clinton, president of Intrepid Powerboats. "Building each Intrepid one at a time allows us to personalize each boat to its owner and keep our designs ever-evolving to bring the best of customer requests to life in new, innovative ways."

For the first time ever on an Intrepid, the 477 Evolution will have the convenience of hull-side openings on both the port and starboard sides. The signature Intrepid hull-side dive door has been relocated to the starboard hull side, and on the port side, a new hydraulically-actuated hull platform folds down with a recessed swim ladder.

Stylish new hull-side windows, an updated fiberglass arch top with curved leg supports and a slim windshield frame create a sleek, modern look.

For enhanced versatility and easy entertaining, the 477 Evolution's oversized bridge deck lounge features a high-low electric table that can disappear into the floor at the touch of a button. The aft cockpit features a redesigned transom and more space for storage or optional above-deck bait wells. A new helm seat cabinet holds up to two appliances.

In the spacious cabin, luxury touches like solid surface countertops, wood-veneered cabinetry and sole wood flooring are accented by dimmable lighting in the soft-paneled headliner and under the countertops. The plush master stateroom features premium bedding, a larger hanging locker and private entry to the roomy head with expanded shower. With a second private stateroom and a high-low electrically-actuated cabin v-berth table, the 477 Evolution provides ample space to relax and entertain below deck.

For increased comfort and versatility, the 477 Evolution can be custom styled and rigged through Intrepid's one-of-a-kind customization process. While this customization makes each Intrepid as unique as its owner, one constant element in every Intrepid boat is a distinct transverse stepped hull design that maximizes stability to ensure a smooth, dry ride.

Intrepid 477 Evolution standard features include:

  • Integrated motor bracket for triple or quad outboard engine configurations
  • Wood-free, PVC foam-cored construction and non-woven quad and uni-directional fiberglass fabrics both infused and hand laid to provide strength, rigidity and safety without performance-robbing weight
