Intrepid Powerboats to introduce new 407 Nomad at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Innovative custom boat builder Intrepid Powerboats will debut its newest center console model, the Intrepid 407 Nomad, at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Oct. 30 - Nov. 3.

After successfully introducing the Nomad Series with the 345 and 375 Nomad, Intrepid is taking the center console model farther than ever with the 40-foot 407 Nomad featuring a 700-gallon fuel capacity.

"With unmatched fuel range and our advanced stepped hull that absorbs the force of the waves with no shudder, the 407 Nomad allows you to go farther with a remarkably smooth and stable ride," said Ken Clinton, president of Intrepid Powerboats. "Spacious and comfortable, this boat is just as well suited for cruising all day with the family as it is for a serious day of fishing with friends."

Like the smaller Nomad models, the 407 Nomad offers two console configurations - SE offering side entry to the head or FE featuring front entry to the head.

The SE option features a modern look with a composite T-Top with a full-height wraparound glass windshield with wiper for more protection from the elements. For enhanced versatility and easy entertaining, the SE features a fully customizable helm seat station that can be equipped with amenities such as a refrigerator, pull-out cooler, ice maker, grill, sink or fishing station, or the entire aft cabinet can be converted to aft-facing seating.

The 407 Nomad's FE configuration features Intrepid's traditional aluminum T-Top with FRP hardtop, which allows for extra aft cockpit space for fishing or lounging.

For increased comfort and fishability, the 407 Nomad can be custom styled and rigged through Intrepid's one-of-a-kind customization process. While this customization makes each Intrepid as unique as its owner, one constant element in every Intrepid boat is a distinct transverse stepped hull design that maximizes stability to ensure a smooth, dry ride.

Intrepid 407 Nomad standard features include:

  • Integrated motor bracket for twin or triple engine configurations
  • Wood-free, PVC foam-cored construction and non-woven quad and uni-directional fiberglass fabrics both infused and hand laid to provide strength, rigidity and safety without performance-robbing weight
  • Intrepid's trademark hull-side swing-in dive door with folding ladder that makes water access easy
  • Spacious console with head below
  • Actuated helm sole platform that raises 4"
  • Ocean Elite helm seat with fiberglass base (FE)
  • Forward seating with storage and electric backrests (FE)
  • Forward lounge/electric backrests/deck storage/sun pad/fish box (FE)
  • Forward deck storage/sun pad/fishbox (SE)
  • Hi-low actuated table/filler for forward seating
  • Fiberglass folding rear bench seat
  • Fresh water system - pressurized (50 gallons)
  • Electric head with macerator for holding tank (20 gallons)
