The new Dufour 530 Grand Large

by Bob Vinks 23 Sep 2019 02:03 PDT

Following the merger with the Fountaine-Pajot group last November, Dufour Yachts have announced an aggressive expansion of the range with four new models planned over the next two years, showing true determination to succeed in this competitive luxury yacht market.

The all new Dufour 530 will debut at the Boot Düsseldorf in January 2020.

The Dufour 530 hull design is easily distinguished by the signature cove line above the flush mounted windows and moulded bulwarks. Movement around the cockpit and transom has been optimised with the sleek new helm pods and access out of the cockpit to the side deck is now easy and uncluttered. The transom incorporates the large swim deck, built in BBQ and Sink and additional access to mechanical equipment via the transom as well as the cockpit. The new design has increased volume in the bow for enhanced owners accommodation and many interior upgrades.

The new model comes in 3 versions, easily identified by their deck layouts; Owners Version, Charter Version and Performance Version. The Performance Version will boast an extended mast and boom offering an increase in sail area by extra 20m2. The 2.8m keel will also have a lead bulb.

The Dufour 530 is available in four interior layouts. The below is the standard owners' version.

The Dufour 530 is the only yacht in her category to offer up to 6 cabins, with double pullman cabins and three bathrooms. All versions are available with skipper cabin.

The interior is spacious, well light and ventilated and exudes an air of sophistication. There is a high degree of attention to detail matched with a quality fit and finish. The forward facing galley is modern, well equipped and ergonomic that has long been synonyms with Dufour.

In conclusion, Dufour offers a new innovative program. The versatility of the deck layouts allows a high degree of choice to match the intended usage and no doubt ensure the success in both the private and charter markets.

Dufour continue to maintain a strong connection to their roots by delivery pure performance in an exciting new way.
