On Sunday 6 October, there will be a small, low key gathering at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia for the family and friends of Andrew Short and Sally Gordon.

The afternoon will be held at the Club as a chance to honour and remember Andrew Short and Sally Gordon who lost their lives, as well as those that were involved in the Flinders Islet Race in 2009.

The Commodore at the time, Matt Allen said, “We would like to spend some time remembering the tragic events of 10 years ago, when we lost our great friends Andrew Short and Sally Gordon.

“We would also like to remember the crews who assisted in the search and recovery at Flinders Islet that day almost 10 years ago.”

The Club has a room booked at the CYCA on Sunday 6 October from 1pm and encourages those who are friends of the families or who were involved in their lives to attend. Tickets are free, however bookings are appreciated for catering purposes.
