The third edition of the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award competition is launched!

Film and video professionals, as well as sailors who record their achievements during races are invited to join the 2019 edition of the event and submit their best edit.

Last years' contest was won by Rob Dickinson, thanks to his great video featuring team AkzoNobel during the Volvo Ocean Race. Who will succeed him this year?

The winners will be announced and celebrated on 26 November at the Yacht Racing Forum in Bilbao (ESP).

The objective of the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award is to celebrate the best sailing videos produced each year, as well as their authors. The winners will be selected by an international jury according to the following criteria:

  • General appreciation
  • Quality of production
  • Technical difficulty
  • Originality

"Videos showcase beautiful images, but above all they are about telling a story", says Nicolas Mirabaud, Managing Partner of Mirabaud. "Video offers a unique medium for freedom and creativity. As with sailing, to tell a story, there is no limit to innovation, imagination and creativity. Don't hesitate to surprise us and be original."

Videos must be sent before October 23, 2019 at midnight (GMT). Discover the contest on sailingvideoaward.com

The winners will be celebrated at the Yacht Racing Forum (Bilbao (ESP), 25-26 November 2019) alongside the sports' leading personalities from all over the world, race organisers, sponsors, class representatives, yacht clubs, teams etc. All participants will have free access to the Forum (registration required here). The winner of the main prize - the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award - will receive a prize-money offered by our partner Mirabaud.

Important information for the 2019 edition:
