Newport, Rhode Island is the home of the TF10 and it's all set to go on show for a second year in a row at the Newport International Boat Show (NIBS) (12-15 September). One of the largest boat shows in America, NIBS will provide four days of opportunity for showgoers and foiling fanatics to get up close and personal to a brand-spanking new TF10, built by DNA Performance Sailing and designed by Morrelli and Melvin.
"Interest in the TF10 is riding high," says Sven Erik Janssen, Director of DNA Performance Sailing based in Holland. "Foiling sailboats are at the forefront of everyone's mind nowadays, especially with AC75 American Magic supported by the New York Yacht Club right here in Newport. The America's Cup and its modern technologies, and especially the inspiration it delivers it is at the heart of the TF10 concept. The TF10 design is spectacular, built with the highest quality materials and production methods, features really innovative ideas that make a foiling machine like this attainable — thrilling, fast and fun. Everyone needs to see this boat, so come visit us at Dock Space N-5 E."
Named Sailing World Magazine's 2019 Foiler of the Year - the TF10 has already enjoyed a season filled with great racing from Australia, to San Francisco, California and Newport, Rhode Island. A ton of events are already on the calendar for 2020 with more to be added.
John Hele, President of the TF10 Class Association is the latest owner to take delivery of his TF10. "Once you have sailed a TF10 you realized it is a one-of-a-kind sailing experience. There is nothing else quite like it. Everyone who has taken a test drive simply can't get enough of it."
"The 2020 TF10 Racing Schedule is building. We are going to be racing in some of the same beautiful places we sailed this year such as San Francisco, Newport and Australia, and some new locations too. Four fully-fledged teams are currently based in Newport, with others stationed on the West Coast and Australia, so the fleet is expanding."
