Sea Change Wine are excited about supporting Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club's and the RS700 and RS800 Class Associations' efforts to make their event as green as possible.

Sea Change is a range of ethically sourced, environmentally conscious wines that support ocean conservation through direct partnerships with key ocean and marine focused charities. The project was established by Surrey based 10 International, a small family run wine business in 2018. The support is by way of a monetary donation from every bottle of Sea Change sold going directly to the chosen charity partners. The range has been designed with minimal packaging in mind to reduce potential waste and to maximise its environmental credentials. Key design elements include:

  • Lightweight glass bottle designed to minimise transport impact and raw material usage.
  • No plastic used in the finished product in contrast to the majority of wines.
  • 'Grape Touch' labels consisting of 15% recycled grape waste with the remaining raw materials coming from FSC certified forests ensuring environmental and social benefits.
  • Specially selected, fully recyclable closures.
  • No capsule covers used with a view to minimise unnecessary packaging and to enhance the ease of recycling.
Bottles of Sea Change wine have been donated as prizes for event winners for each day of the event, and the Eastbourne Sailing Club are being supplied with 4 Sea Change parasols for the outdoor area - let's hope the sun shines and they don't have to provide rain cover!
