Race 2 of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia's 2019 Concierge Traveller Spring Series continued the theme of wild, windy conditions, with the return of sub-20-degree temperatures and 20-25 knots!

While the breeze blew from the south-west in the Concierge Traveller Spring Series opener, a full 180-degree shift was on for Sunday's race with up to 25 knots blowing in from the north-east.

Twenty-three competitors across three divisions took to the start line off Point Piper with good, close racing had by all. Division 1 saw Charles Parry-Okeden's Crystal Cutter III rise victorious over Robert Drury's Pazazz II in second and Mattijs Willenborg's Business as Usual third.

Division 2 saw less than five minutes separate the finish times of the first three boats across the line, with even their corrected times not far apart. John Hewitt & Chris Johnson's Sea Ya took home the silverware with Meredith Trevallyn-Jones' Peach Teats-Velocity second and Hugh Murray-Walker's Oscar third.

Division 3, non-spinnaker division, saw Derek McDonnell & Rogerio Blanc-Ramos' Applejack take first place, Herman Heiligers' HubCap II second and Ana Svensson's Limelight third.

Each week, all of Concierge Traveller Spring Series divisional winners are in for a chance at the $500 prize courtesy of naming-rights partners Concierge Traveller.

This week, Derek McDonnell and Rogerio Blanc-Ramos from Applejack collected the $500 voucher.

At the conclusion of the series, all divisional winners go in the draw for the chance at the $5,000 voucher major prize, again thanks to Concierge Traveller.

Concierge Traveller Spring Series Race 2 divisional winners:

Div 1 - Charles Parry-Okeden's Crystal Cutter III
Div 2 - John Hewitt & Chris Johnson Sea Ya
Div 3 (non spinnaker) - Derek McDonnell & Rogerio Blanc-Ramos' Applejack
