The 4 semi-finalists of the Aircalin Match racing Cup are: Yann Rigal, Tom Picot, Lucas Chatonnier and Oackley Marsh.

It is after another intense day under a bright sun and a wind of around 10-12 kts that our semi-finalists are qualified.

The day started with the last round robin matches and very quickly followed by quarter-finals.

The choice of opponents for the quarters was made in relation to the Round Robin ranking: the first team of the Round Robin met the eighth team; the second the seventh and so on; and you had to win two matches to win.

In the first matches between Yann Rigal and Niall Power - Tom Picot to Chris Way and Cedric Bouchet to Oackley Marsh are played 2 to 0. The matches between Lucas Chatonnier and Robin Chantrelle were very close. It took three matches to know the winner. It is the experience of SB20 world vice-champion Lucas Chatonnier and his crew Cyril Fortin and Théo Boré who won it against the youth of Robin Chantrelle's crew. But Robin Chantrelle's crew, composed of Valentin Alakiletoa, Fleur Tron and Corentin Goulon, is the revelation of this competition. They are all between 17 and 18 years old and already have a very good technique and speed of navigation!

The rest of the day was devoted to the ranking matches from 13 to 5.

Tomorrow, the first semi-final should start at 10:00 am if the wind is established.

Yann Rigal will then choose his opponent from Tom, Lucas or Oackley. Teams have to win three matches before you can reach the final.

The prize-giving presentation will take place at the CNC's Nautical Base located on rue Tardy de Montravel au bout de la pointe Brunelet ICI.
