Ahead of the Sail GP event this weekend in Cowes, Australia's skipper and long time Zhik team rider, Tom Slingsby, took time out from race preparations to run through his favourite kit for different sailing conditions.
Being extremely passionate about the environment, Tom is really excited and says he "can't wait to wear his ECO Wetsuit" for this weekend's racing in the F50 foiling catamaran. These high stretch ECO wetsuits are made entirely out of sustainable, natural plant-based materials and recycled plastic bottles. The fabric also produces far fewer toxic emissions during the manufacturing process, causing less harm to the planet.
Other top favourites in Tom's bag include his super stretchy Superwarm wetsuit for colder weather sailing, especially for when he was Laser sailing, the lighter Microfleece suit, his highly grippy Zhik Dinghy Boots with laces and "no zips to break", and Aroshell waterproof high fits.
Tom adds, "We are very fortunate to have Zhik on board. They make the best sailing kit in the world."
