The 420 Class are preparing for their annual Championships, which will be sailed under the burgee of Hayling Island SC from 24 to 27 August. Following on from a busy summer, with members of the class taking part in a wide range of national and international events, the entry is looking good with a number of new pairings, some of which are entirely new to the class, signed up to take part. With generous sponsorship from Rooster, it's looking like being a great event.

A programme of evening entertainment, including rounders on the beach, a live band and the traditional Sailor's Black Tie Dinner, is being planned to provide the fleet, and their families, with time to socialise together off the water.

September sees the first of the three 'Autumn/Winter' events for the class - the Autumn Championships will be hosted by Rutland Sailing Club on 21 and 22 September, followed by the Winter Championships at WPNSA on 5/6 October and the End of Season trophy event held on 16 and 17 November at Grafham Water SC.

The events at Rutland and WPNSA are selection events for Youth Squad and we expect some fierce competition for those six places!
