A day of waiting between a storms today at the Circolo Vela Arco, on Garda Trentino (Italy), for the 80 cadets (9-10 years) and 482 juniors (11-15 years) enrolled in the 25th Ora Cup Ora.
The regatta is increasingly taking on an international dimension as this year there are 28 nations present, including China, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Burma; numerous participants from Hungary, Switzerland and of course Italy. It is especially good to look at the golden register of the Ora Cup: Now with so many names that we then found at the Olympics or at the highest championships: a satisfaction, hoping to have left all those children who passed by the Circolo Vela Arco a beautiful memory of childhood and sailing.
As for the racing, everything was postponed, therefore, between Saturday and Sunday, days in which the weather should clearly improve and allow the wind to return to blow for the 575 participants, who on two race courses will compete in a maximum of 6 races (possibly 3 per day). The junior category has been divided into four fleets, two of 120 and two of 121 competitors, while the 80 cadets race in a single fleet.
